• Image of WaterWomen Tri-Fold

In these Tri-Folds, I celebrate some of the Cedar Key women who work on the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. All of them are descendant from generations of Cedar Key fishing families. Starting shortly before the Florida Net-Ban of 1995 I began photographing them and the commercial fishermen of Cedar Key, something I continue doing to this day.
The Tri-Folds measure approximately 4x6 inches. They are printed on Aurora Art Natural paper from Red River which has a wonderfully smooth and pleasant paper feel to it. Not counting the cover, each Tri-Fold contains six WaterWomen photos, and a page of text by Jeanine Beckham, one of the WaterWomen.
The photos were made with film and digital cameras. One of the portraits is even a from a Holga negative . By adding two 4x6 in tipped-in plates to each Tri-Fold four prints were added, making it the interesting little jewel I think it is.
Please Note:
These are my artist's proofs from this project. I have not yet printed an addition. Of course, all the photos, design, printing, and assembling is done by me in our studio. This means there are slight variations from Tri-Fold to Tri-Fold. However, all contain the same photos/prints and text by Jeanine Beckham. In addition, I am including one 4x6 inch plate, ready for framing. I personally like to frame these prints in the elegant, yet inexpensive Format Frames. The 4x6 inch size is usually under $2.00, and the prints look great in them.
